Job Title: Account Director - Direct Mail

Harrison Scott Associates is seeking an experienced Account Director to join our team in the Direct Mail sector. As an Account Director, you will be responsible for providing first-class service to our clients, ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of account management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Manage printing projects, including setting up and liaising with production/print suppliers.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise production department staff, establishing a good working relationship, monitoring performance, and ensuring each team member is supplied with correct information and materials to fulfill each job.
  • General Organisation: Maintain project management systems, files, and electronic project folders in an orderly fashion, well-labeled and easy to follow by any other member of staff.
  • Liaising with Customers and Suppliers: Take briefs from customers, create estimates using our accounting system (Quickbooks), order materials as necessary, set up job specifications, and add new jobs.
  • Fiscal Responsibility: Be fiscally responsible for the management of each project.
  • Quality Assurance: Work in accordance with our Quality Assurance (ISO9001), Environmental Management Systems (ISO14001), and Information Security Management Systems (ISO27001).
  • Account Development: Develop accounts to maximize company potential, being available to visit client offices as and when required by the customer.
  • Logistics Management: Manage the logistics of exhibition items going to and from events for a client, including management of stock, booking couriers, and physically checking exhibition orders when returned.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop in-depth knowledge of Royal Mail/DSA services/products.
Requirements:
  • Multi-Tasking: Manage a wide variety of projects in an often fast-paced and reactive environment to tight deadlines as stipulated by a variety of different clients.
  • Prioritising: Work with initiative, plan workload priorities for the day.
  • Communication: Communicate well with others, giving clear instructions and listening and following instructions. Must be well-spoken and able to communicate at different levels, both internally and externally.
  • Telephone Manner: Instil a sense of calm and confidence in customers.
  • Logical Thinking: Analyze processes, then design and implement new methods for achieving better or enhanced productivity.
  • IT Skills: Competent at using a variety of software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Attention to Detail: Proofread letters, check data, etc. to ensure that clients' jobs are accurate and as per their initial specification.
  • Enthusiasm: Enjoy working hard and looking for job satisfaction.
  • Good Sense of Humour: Get on with and work well with others.
  • Honesty, Trustworthiness, and Loyalty: Demonstrate these qualities in your work.
  • Confidence in Abilities: Have confidence in your abilities and strengths, but also be able to take constructive criticism.
