About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Oxford. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Professor Kylie Vincent on a project focused on the electrochemical characterization of tungsten-containing enzymes and their potential applications in biotechnology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrochemical characterization of W-enzymes using cyclic voltammetry and electrolysis
  • Develop and implement in-situ and in-line analytical methods for reaction monitoring
  • Collaborate with the research group to establish the feasibility of hydrogen-driven reactions using these enzymes
  • Contribute to the development of new biocatalytic processes for chemical manufacturing

Requirements

  • PhD in Chemistry or a relevant subject area
  • Experience in catalysis, electrochemistry, and analytical methods
  • Strong research and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Arrangements

The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory, and is available to start as soon as possible. Part-time working or flexible working arrangements may be possible.
