Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team at First Recruitment Group. This role is essential in ensuring the successful execution of commissioning activities within the water sector.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Commissioning Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing all commissioning tasks on-site to guarantee safe and timely project delivery.
  • Reviewing and assessing MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) project risks.
  • Participating in system inductions and safety briefings to uphold high safety standards.
  • Compiling and finalizing testing and inspection documentation (ITR/ITP).
  • Collaborating with the design team to integrate commissioning needs into the project scope from the outset.
  • Evaluating design outputs, including Functional Design Specifications (FDS), equipment lists, P&IDs, control philosophies, and telemetry requirements.
  • Developing and refining Compliance & Commissioning Plans to align with design objectives.
  • Managing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), including process witness tests.
  • Assisting in the formulation of the initial Commissioning Programme.
  • Attending progress meetings to provide updates and insights on commissioning activities.
  • Organizing and maintaining commissioning documentation and deliverables.
  • Contributing to Commissioning Strategy Reviews and associated documentation.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors regarding commissioning deliverables and interface requirements.
  • Supporting Training Coordinators in creating training materials and engaging in training sessions.
  • Assisting Operations & Maintenance Coordinators in preparing and reviewing O&M Manuals.
  • Distributing Commissioning Logs, Daily Diaries, and other relevant information.
  • Contributing to the preparation of takeover reports.
  • Collaborating effectively with the entire project delivery team to ensure successful outcomes.

Candidate Profile:

Experience:
Demonstrated experience in electrical commissioning, particularly within water and/or water recycling environments.

Knowledge:
Solid understanding of water and/or water recycling processes.

Certifications:
Possession of a valid UK driving license, Water Hygiene Card (Blue Water Card), and CSCS Card.

Team Collaboration:
Proven ability to work effectively as part of a project team.
