Position Overview

: As a key member of the Supplier Quality Engineering team focusing on Body in White, you will leverage your expertise as a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to collaborate with Tier-1 suppliers across Europe and our advanced manufacturing facility.

We seek experienced SQEs who are proactive in leading, mentoring, and challenging suppliers to uphold quality standards throughout the entire lifecycle of delivered components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and oversee the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) with suppliers.
  • Act as a vital member of a cross-functional commodity team to facilitate the timely and efficient introduction of supplied components.
  • Assist in launch activities and sample part builds to verify compliance with dimensional and functional specifications.
  • Support overarching vehicle objectives and the Engineering Change Request process.
  • Conduct supplier visits and audits as necessary.
  • Analyze complex issues and propose viable solutions.
  • Thrive in a diverse and dynamic environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing suppliers to meet quality requirements throughout the lifecycle of a component.
  • Familiarity with steel and aluminum body components and their manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in quality tools and methodologies such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • This role may require travel primarily within Europe.
