Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled professional to join our Business Tax team as an Assistant Manager. This role involves overseeing tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse portfolio of business clients. Your primary focus will be managing client relationships and supporting Managers and Senior Managers in delivering exceptional client service. You will also engage in special projects and advisory assignments as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct ad-hoc consultancy projects
  • Lead the daily delivery of advisory and compliance services
  • Manage client accounts and relationships effectively
  • Provide outstanding client service and maintain regular communication with client teams
  • Stay updated on technical developments
  • Oversee budgeting and compliance fee monitoring
  • Collaborate with senior team members, including Partners and Directors
  • Conduct performance appraisals and monitor staff performance
  • Provide on-the-job training and mentoring for junior staff
  • Address staff inquiries
  • Ensure adherence to procedures in line with relevant guidelines
  • Meet departmental KPIs related to billing and recovery
  • Participate in internal meetings, seminars, and training sessions
  • Foster awareness of cross-referral opportunities within the firm
  • Support marketing and business development initiatives as needed

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Relevant tax experience within the profession or industry
  • Strong technical capabilities as a tax advisor
