Job Description

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing Maintenance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Wates Group. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of our social housing maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce commercial reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure the timely receipt of quotations for materials, equipment, and subcontract works
  • Undertake commercial assessments of quotes received and ensure the timely placement of orders on commercially advantageous terms
  • Regularly complete on-site measurements and take-offs
  • Ensure all contractual processes are completed on time

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role or exposure to the field
  • Good work ethic and ability to work under a Project Surveyor and within a team of Surveyors
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to liaise with clients and create effective relationships with the team
