Job Description

Unqualified Special Needs Teaching Assistant


A fantastic, creative and friendly Primary School in the London Borough of Brent is looking to recruit a Unqualified Special Needs Teaching Assistant. The Unqualified Special Needs Teaching Assistant role is a full time and long-term role, for a September 2024 start.

As a Unqualified Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will be working with Primary School students who require additional support. Your primary responsibility will be to provide educational support to these students, enabling them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in the classroom, providing individualized support to students with special needs.
  • Develop and implement educational plans to support students with special needs.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting students.
  • Monitor student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and making recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with special needs.
  • Ability to develop and implement educational plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
