Our Midlands, South West, and Wales division comprises over 100 professionals dedicated to shaping the built environment across various sectors, including Education, Commercial, Energy, Defence, and Residential. You will collaborate with a diverse team of architects, technologists, interior designers, landscape architects, and surveying experts, ranging from recent graduates to seasoned directors. We prioritize the development and mentorship of our staff, ensuring we remain leaders in design and innovation.
Role Responsibilities:
The Studio Lead will be responsible for:
- Overseeing daily studio operations, including staff development, resource allocation, and financial management.
- Providing project management leadership in a collaborative environment, focusing on major opportunities.
- Driving business development efforts and securing work within the local markets.
- Fostering a strong design culture and enhancing the capabilities of our multidisciplinary teams.
- Creating compelling design narratives that reinforce our reputation for excellence.
- Leading the successful delivery of projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Identifying opportunities for winning bids in government, education, and related sectors.
Candidate Requirements:
- Registered Architect with ARB accreditation.
- Proven experience with local government and education sector clients.
- Strong design skills complemented by technical delivery expertise.
- Demonstrated team leadership and management capabilities.
- Ability to perform under pressure while inspiring and motivating teams.
- Experience in preparing successful bids and tenders.
- Strong client and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Direct experience in a lead coordinator role throughout all project phases.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Revit and BIM project management.
- Working knowledge of SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Valid UK Driving License.
The role offers the flexibility to work locally and nationally, with travel requirements based on project needs.
