Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Pipeline Engineer to join our team at Metroworth Consulting Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting piping stress analysis, designing piping systems, and providing technical direction to the piping stress team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting piping stress analysis on Caesar II and other software platforms.
  2. Designing and analyzing piping systems for oil and gas applications.
  3. Providing technical direction to the piping stress team and ensuring compliance with company and client standards.
  4. Evaluating mechanical equipment documents and providing input on multidiscipline documents.
  5. Generating MSDs and providing support for construction site reviews.
  6. Designing and selecting pipe supports and ensuring winterization conditions are met.
  7. Providing input on piping value engineering and identifying stress-related potential problems on pipelines and process piping.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Piping Engineering or a related field.
  2. 8+ years of engineering experience, with field experience being an asset.
  3. Industry experience in oil and gas, pipelines, or related fields.
  4. Professional Engineer (APEGA PEng) certification and ability to authenticate piping documents and drawings.
  5. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with good communication skills and ability to work independently.

Location: Aberdeen, with hybrid working arrangements acceptable.

Rate: Circa £60.00 per hour (Ltd co rate).
