Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator to join our team at Inawizdom Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, managing, and maintaining our computer networks to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.
Key Responsibilities- Network Design and Management: Plan, design, and implement network infrastructures including LANs, WANs, and VPNs to meet the needs of the organization.
- Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor network performance using appropriate tools and platforms, identifying and resolving issues such as network bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and latency issues.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, encryption, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Configuration and Maintenance: Configure, deploy, and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware.
- User Support: Provide technical support to end-users and resolve network-related issues.
- Network Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and security protocols.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Manage and maintain data backup and disaster recovery systems to ensure business continuity.
- Vendor Management: Work closely with external vendors to procure networking equipment, services, and software.
- Compliance & Policy Enforcement: Ensure that the organization's network infrastructure complies with internal policies and relevant industry standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in networking technologies and best practices.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on network configuration, troubleshooting, and security.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing VPNs, VLANs, and network segmentation.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark).
- Strong knowledge of network security principles, including firewalls, encryption, and VPNs.
- Experience with cloud-based networking (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell is advantageous.
