Job Title: Chemical Safety Manager H/F

A Health and Safety Manager is required to drive growth and improvement within a well-established, award-winning Roofing Contracting group. We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager with a strong background in the Construction Sector to implement, maintain, and manage key H&S deliverables and compliance, as well as improve H&S, quality, and environmental performance across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Health & Safety professional to lead and manage a team, communicate and cooperate with project stakeholders and senior management to ensure all site H&S objectives are delivered effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review and ensure accuracy of RAMS site documentation to guarantee safe working on site.
  2. Build relationships and set exceptional standards with the team and stakeholders.
  3. Provide guidance and support in all Health and Safety matters to the management team.
  4. Offer legislative and regulatory advice to the Management team on all matters relating to H&S.
  5. Liaise with registration bodies, customers, and suppliers as necessary to resolve problems and mitigate risk.
  6. Maintain the HSEQ management system, identifying and implementing initiatives for improvement, including procedures, processes, and safe systems of work.
  7. Ensure effective site induction procedures are implemented and followed prior to any work activity being carried out.
  8. Undertake site audits and report findings with suggested improvements where appropriate.
  9. Investigate Health and Safety related incidents with operational management to establish root causes and preventative measures.
  10. Overall responsibility/authority for all incidents and accident investigations.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience working in a H&S Management role (preferably) in the Building Envelope, Roofing or Construction Sector.
  2. NEBOSH certified.
  3. Experience in maintaining ISO9001, 14001, and 45001 compliance.
  4. Knowledge of current UK HSE legislation.
  5. Experienced with COSHH.
  6. Influential and collaborative with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
