Lead Design Engineer

Future Engineering Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Lead Design Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the building services design team, you will be responsible for providing mechanical services design to low energy buildings across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead mechanical building services design projects through all stages, from concept to completion.
  • Support the building services design process and services team.
  • Collaborate with the construction process and project management teams.
  • Develop and implement low energy building design solutions.
  • Produce, review, and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, and technical reports.
  • Provide subject matter expert knowledge on mechanical engineering design.
  • Mentor junior mechanical engineers.
  • Ensure design and technical risks are identified, managed, and mitigated.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in building services design.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering design principles.
  • Ability to lead and manage design projects.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid legal permit or right to work in the United Kingdom.
