Job Opportunity: Secondary Learning Support Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with learning difficulties or disabilities in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their academic potential.
  • Work closely with classroom teachers to develop and implement tailored support plans, ensuring that students receive the best possible education.
  • Assist students with academic tasks, including reading, writing, and numeracy, and encourage their participation and engagement in classroom activities.
  • Help to manage behavior and promote a positive learning environment, working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure that students feel safe and supported.

Requirements:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and other staff.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting the delivery of high-quality education to students.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Additional training in special educational needs (SEN) or a related field.

Working Conditions:
