We are seeking a skilled Sub-contract Engineering Inspector to join our team at LRQA. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing pressure vessels and gas cylinders, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and specification requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of pressure vessels and gas cylinders to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specification requirements.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to identify any defects or non-conformities.
- Develop and implement effective inspection and testing procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any inspection-related issues.
- Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors as needed.
Requirements:
- Relevant engineering or inspection background.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Good IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work on own initiative after training.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in the manufacture or inspection/testing of pressure vessels and/or gas cylinders.
Working Arrangements:
The successful candidate will be required to work at a client site in the Nottingham area, covering day/afternoon shifts, Monday to Friday.
