Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechatronics Test Technician to join our UK R&D site at MIRA. As a Mechatronics Test Technician, you will be responsible for performing mechanical and electronics testing activities per test order, reviewing results with Test Engineers, and assisting in the preparation of detailed engineering reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and electronics testing activities per test order, results reviewed with Test Engineers
  • Support Engineers in preparing detailed engineering reports through compilation of test data
  • Work with Test Engineers to resolve current model/production issues by conducting desired tests
  • Support the construction of component/system test rigs/equipment to fulfill legislative/customer requirements
  • Assist in procurement of materials and components for test equipment, rigs, etc.
  • Participate and provide guidance for development of new technologies, techniques, processes and conduct benchmark testing of products for current/future innovations

Requirements

  • HND or equivalent in Engineering discipline
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project Software tools
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and component inspection methods
  • Experience in use of general-purpose mechanical laboratory test equipment, preventative maintenance, and calibration methods
  • Use of computer-controlled data acquisition equipment would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems as they apply to truck and heavy trailers would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of IATF16494/ISO 9001/ISO 4001/APQP
