About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Analyst to join our Research Team at the Greater Manchester Combined Authority. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Housing First ambitions and developing the evidence base for our housing research programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Housing First programme by developing and implementing research projects to inform policy and delivery.
  • Conduct mixed-methods analysis and evaluation to provide insights and recommendations for policy and practice.
  • Work closely with the Place Directorate to support the delivery of Housing First, including the Good Landlord Charter, housing growth ambitions, and net zero homes.
  • Collaborate with other Analysts, Lead Analysts, and Principals on cross-sector projects to drive innovation and improvement.
Requirements
  • Experience of undertaking research and analysis, including delivering research projects.
  • Confidence in sourcing, analysing, and presenting complex information to specialist and non-specialist audiences.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with evidence of working with qualitative and quantitative data, including data visualisation skills.
  • Knowledge of, or experience of, evaluation.
  • Excellent writing and presentation abilities to present technical material to non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of how data and evidence can be used to inform policy and delivery.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of housing policy priorities and challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders, internally and externally.
  • Awareness of the political landscape of Greater Manchester, both locally and nationally.
