Are you seeking a rewarding position within the European Tax Division? This pivotal role entails overseeing a dedicated team and managing a diverse range of tax-related functions for our operations throughout Europe.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Direct the European Tax Division and mentor team members
  • Prepare tax provisions for European operations for quarterly financial statements
  • Evaluate tax provisions for statutory accounts in the UK and Ireland
  • Work alongside external consultants to finalize corporate tax returns and resolve tax matters
  • Oversee transfer pricing documentation and intercompany agreements for European operations
  • Engage in global tax advisory projects and restructuring efforts
  • Ensure adherence to tax governance frameworks and internal controls
  • Manage tax audits and liaise with tax authorities across Europe
  • Assess cash repatriation strategies within the global organization

Qualifications:

  • Professional accounting/tax qualification such as ACA, CA, ACCA, or CTA
  • Experience in tax accounting under IFRS (knowledge of US GAAP is advantageous)
  • Prior experience with a Big 4 or Top 10 Accounting Firm
  • In-depth understanding of UK and European tax regulations
  • Proven leadership skills and capability to manage a team
  • Willingness to travel within the region and occasionally internationally
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus
