About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Practice Nurse to join our dynamic team at St Clements Surgery in Oxford.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing and running the vaccination program, and assisting in routine tasks related to patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work within the parameters of a Practice Nurse scope of practice
  • Manage and run the vaccination program for patients, including childhood vaccines, travel vaccines, and lead flu campaigns
  • Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care, including supporting the GPs
  • Appointments for cervical cytology screening, Asthma Reviews, COPD and Diabetes care and management, venepuncture, Suture and staple removal, wound care management, ECGs, cryotherapy, contraception advice, urinalysis, pathology test requesting, Assist GP with Contraceptive coil fitting, administration of prescribed injections, Doppler study and interpretation, various LTC checks and reviews
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with NMC qualification and valid PIN
  • Minimum 12 months NHS experience
  • Good Time management
  • Good Organisation skills
  • Chronic disease management experience
  • Diabetes management
  • Previous experience in General Practice is desirable
