About the Role

The Business Support Officer Level 1 is a part-time, term-time position responsible for providing administrative support to the Education Welfare Service. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Business Support Team Manager and be part of a team that ensures the effective delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and respond to requests received in the FPN inbox
  • Provide administrative support to the Elective Home Education Service
  • Liaise and work closely with Education Welfare Officers
  • Update service-specific databases and trackers
  • Field relevant telephone calls and messages
  • Complete statutory returns
  • Support with I.T. setup and creation of resources as required

Requirements

  • A passion for Achieving for Children's vision, mission, and values
  • Strong organizational abilities, including time management, creative thinking, problem-solving, and multitasking
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible in approach
  • Strong administrative skills, including minute-taking, managing competing priorities, being organized, and working well in a team
