Job Title: Aftersales Service Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Aftersales Service Engineer to join our team at Leonardo SpA. As a key member of our Service Engineering department, you will play a critical role in providing technical advice to our customers to ensure the safe and efficient operation of their aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide informed technical solutions and advice to customers to maximize aircraft availability and serviceability.
  2. Discharge day-to-day operational technical support through a task management process, ensuring timely responses to customer inquiries.
  3. Contribute to the development of aircraft in service by providing direct feedback of in-service technical issues to Product Support Engineering.
  4. Preserve airworthiness of LHUK in-service aircraft through close cooperation and coordination with Operators, Service Engineering, and Chief Projects Engineer's offices.
  5. Provide technical advice to LHUK colleagues to minimize material and maintenance effort.
  6. Perform engineering analysis of technical data feedback from customer operations.
  7. Assist Platform leads in gaining operational and cost-of-ownership support benefits.
  8. Provide assistance to Customer Service Managers with advice on in-service issues.
  9. Support material teams in understanding viable and approved alternatives.
  10. Coordinate other business functions within Product Support Engineering and Core Engineering to deliver customer requirements.
  11. Report on issues, activities, and trends, and support pan-variant impact assessments.
  12. Provide performance and incident reports.
  13. Act as the point of contact for high-priority out-of-hours technical issues for customers conducting 24/7 operations.
Requirements:
  1. Experienced Aerospace Engineer with a proven track record of responsibilities in maintenance or design and development fields.
  2. HNC/HND or Degree in a related Engineering subject with significant experience in aerospace design and/or maintenance in technically responsible roles.
  3. Good understanding of aircraft documentation and airworthiness.
  4. IT literate with basic desktop applications and company-standard software.
