  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care to patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting general nursing duties such as:
  • Wound care
  • Immunizations, including childhood and travel vaccinations
  • Health screening
  • QOF
  • ECG recordings
  • Assisting with minor surgery and coil fittings
  • Depo injections and pill checks
  • Requesting pathology tests, for example, urine culture, swab
  • Testing urine samples
  • Support the Nurse Manager, maintain stock of waiting room leaflets, ordering.
  • Attend practice meetings when required.
  • An opportunity to work out of hours, extended access, etc.
  • Administering medications and injections as prescribed by healthcare providers
  • Assisting physicians during clinical procedures and examinations
  • Providing health education and counseling to patients on a variety of health-related topics
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with practice protocols
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care to patients
  • Manage own workload in a manner that maintains and promotes quality
  • Liaise and support the nurse manager on all professional nursing issues.
  • Ensure all items of equipment are maintained in good order, and ensure that all procedures for reporting hazards or unsafe equipment are known and understood
  • Participate in developing, implementing, and monitoring policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Any other delegated duties appropriate to the post.
