Exciting Opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist (PICU) - Male Ward

NHS Professionals, in conjunction with Chase Farm Hospital, is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist (PICU) to join our team in North London. As a key member of our Multidisciplinary Team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading daily patient management meetings.

About the Role:

The Devon Ward, where you will be based, is a 12-bed male ward catering to patients from the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey. Our ward boasts an exceptional team of medical professionals, nurses, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, and other specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and risk assessments to develop effective management plans
  • Ensure the safe prescription of psychotropic medications for service users
  • Lead and participate in daily patient management meetings, offering consultation to the MDT on patient care
  • Manage patients detained under the Mental Health Act, including the management of restricted patients

Requirements:

  • Valid GMC registration
  • Right to work in the UK (note: we do not offer sponsorship)
  • Minimum 6 months NHS experience
  • Specialist Registration preferred but not essential
  • PAYE payment only, we do not facilitate payment via umbrella or LTD company
