Job Description

Freight Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freight Export Coordinator to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our export operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of freight from our warehouse to destinations around the world.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Build Relationships: Foster strong relationships with our clients, overseas agents, and suppliers to ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Freight Management: Ensure that all freight is moved on time, with all necessary documentation, and that all relevant documents are readily available as required.
  • Haulage and Shipping: Arrange haulage with shipping lines and ensure that all freight is invoiced and checked prior to dispatch.
  • Communication: Communicate clearly and precisely with overseas agents, customers, and suppliers, using customer ERP and SAP systems as required.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve requests and queries quickly and efficiently, using your strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience in ocean freight forwarding, with a strong understanding of export logistics and operations.
  • Skills: Strong numerical and commercial skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, with experience of Cargowise and other relevant software.
  • Personal Qualities: Proactive, team worker with excellent time management and organization skills, enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated.
