Sustainability Coordinator (Staff)

Role Overview:
As a Sustainability Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of sustainability within the staff community. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and overseeing the Staff Environment Champion Network, which includes representatives from various departments.
- Implementing and promoting environmental initiatives and campaigns to engage staff in sustainability efforts.
- Collaborating with Sustainability Champions to drive awareness and participation in sustainability events.
Key Responsibilities:
Your role will involve working closely with the Energy and Sustainability team to enhance sustainability practices across the University. This includes:
- Leading initiatives focused on energy conservation, waste reduction, and biodiversity enhancement.
- Supporting the University’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact.
- Engaging with the staff community to promote sustainable practices and behaviors.
Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C or level four, including English Language and Mathematics.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in environmental management or a related field.
- Experience in delivering administrative services in a busy office environment.
Skills and Competencies:
Essential skills include:
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in digital tools and applications, particularly Microsoft 365.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
