Assistant Town Planner Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Assistant Town Planner to join our team at Penguin Recruitment. This exciting role offers the chance to progress your career in the planning industry and work on a wide range of projects.

The successful candidate will assist Directors and Senior staff to deliver expert planning advice to clients at all stages of the planning lifecycle. They will work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines, requiring effective workload management and client expectation supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a strong ambition to achieve chartered status with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and a Master's degree in Town Planning (RTPI accredited). Some public or private sector experience is highly advantageous but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing planning applications and documentation
  • Undertaking site appraisals and feasibility assessments
  • Monitoring development plan representations
  • Delivering comprehensive and confidential client advice
