The capacity to perform efficiently and accurately under pressure, along with a solid foundation in literacy, numeracy, and computer proficiency, is crucial for this position.
Key ResponsibilitiesDaily management of purchase order generation and goods receipt processes, including:
- Creating repeat or contractual Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts for various services.
- Generating intercompany recharge Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts.
- Issuing Purchase Orders for materials needed at the mills.
- Managing Waste Disposal and Sludge Disposal Purchase Orders.
- Assisting the Supply Chain team with haulage and customs Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts.
- Handling Energy and Utilities Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts.
- Processing Commission and Management Charge Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts.
Maintaining purchasing-specific data within SAP, such as:
- Updating Customer Price Lists and Supplier List Prices.
- Adjusting Standard Costs for Inventory Valuation based on historical purchase price data.
Providing operational purchasing support, including:
- Training new team members on the Purchase Order and Goods Receipt processes, as well as standard reporting in SAP.
- Offering ongoing assistance and training to colleagues in Operations facing challenges with Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts.
Ensuring the integrity of the purchasing system, including:
- Reviewing overdue Purchase Orders and following up on their status.
- Closing outdated Purchase Orders as necessary.
- Acting as a liaison between Accounts Payable and Operations to resolve purchasing inquiries.
Handling additional purchasing-related tasks, such as:
- Organizing Delivery documentation.
- Proficiency in SAP ByDesign or a similar ERP system is required.
- Prior experience in creating Purchase Orders and processing goods receipts is essential.
- A high degree of accuracy is a must.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-driven, proactive, and accountable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan and execute efficiently.
- Capability to work under pressure and adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in master data maintenance is advantageous.
