About the Role:

Avara Foods is a leading food business in the UK, supplying chicken and turkey to major supermarkets and restaurants. We're looking for a highly competent and motivated Management Accountant to join our finance team at our Telford site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Finance function and provide financial control.
  • Manage reporting and business partnering across the site.
  • Maintain high-level financial governance and hold site managers accountable.
  • Responsible for weekly and monthly reporting, including Profit & Loss, Bridge to Budget, and KPIs.
  • Ensure strict financial controls throughout the site and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Provide regular expenditure and analysis to site managers and budget holders.
  • Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and ensuring correct treatment of Accruals & Provisions.
  • Responsible for keeping product standards up to date.
  • Lead site budgeting and reforecasting processes.
  • Maintain and report the PIP Tracker to the site management team.
Requirements:
  • ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified with 3-5 years PQE, preferably in an FMCG environment.
  • Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex financial concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to think strategically.
