About the Role
The University of Nottingham is a research-intensive, global university with a core mission to promote discovery, enterprise, and the advancement of the human condition. We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to lead our knowledge exchange and business engagement efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction for the delivery of our KE activity across the University, ensuring maximum impact and opportunities for our research.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of our knowledge exchange strategy, aligning with the University's research and innovation goals.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to maximize the opportunities and impact of our knowledge exchange activities.
- Ensure strategic connectivity across different KE functions, including business engagement, IP commercialization, impact acceleration, and innovation areas.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, government agencies, and academic institutions.
- Support the development of a broad range of stakeholder and partner organizations in the wider region.
Requirements
- Proven track record in delivering transformative results and leading teams to success.
- Experience in business development and knowledge exchange, with a strong understanding of academic, corporate, charitable, and government settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions.
