Compensation: Starting at £25,000, increasing to £30,000 after 6 months, and then to £32,500 after an additional 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Graduate/Product Financial Controller, you will:

  • Build and maintain robust relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Deliver high-quality financial, statutory, and management reporting outputs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regularly assess the adequacy and effectiveness of business controls.
  • Conduct reconciliations, accounting, and control activities to support ledger closure and ensure the integrity of financial information.

Daily Tasks Include:

  • Participating in various committees as a member or attendee.
  • Supporting or leading change initiatives and process improvements.
  • Preparing month-end accounting tasks, including journal preparation and account reconciliation.
  • Investigating process or system-related issues.
  • Leading systems testing and process improvement initiatives.
  • Assisting internal and external auditors during the reporting period.

Important Note: Similar to many graduate schemes, a training bond will be associated with this position. This bond will only be payable if you choose to leave the graduate program before the completion of the 18 months. This serves as an assurance that candidates are committed to the opportunity.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial control delivery and reporting outputs, including ledger closure and statutory reporting.
  • Strong data analysis and Excel skills; familiarity with Tableau is a plus.
  • Willingness to explore current and future finance technologies such as Oracle, Tableau, or Python.
  • A degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, or an accounting qualification is preferred.
