Job Title: Study Skills Tutor ASC

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Study Skills Tutor ASC to join our team at Randstad. As a Study Skills Tutor ASC, you will provide one-to-one support to students with autism, helping them to develop the skills and strategies they need to succeed in their academic studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to support students with autism
  • Provide one-to-one support to students, helping them to build on their strengths and learning strategies
  • Support students to develop independence, organization, and time management skills
  • Help students to create action plans to stay on track with their studies
  • Support students to develop research skills, including finding and using credible sources
  • Support students to develop comprehension skills in reading and writing

Requirements:

  • Qualified to undergraduate degree level (level 6 as minimum)
  • Teaching qualification
  • Extensive training in adult autism, including 6 National Autistic Society Modules or The Optimum Training Course
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to identify ways of helping students to build on their learning strengths
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload of students
