Opportunity for a SEND Learning Support Assistant
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEND)? GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to work part-time within a supportive Hull academy.
About the Role
You will be working one-on-one with a child diagnosed with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and ADHD, providing tailored support to help them achieve their full potential in an inclusive learning environment. This role requires a compassionate and patient individual who is committed to understanding and addressing the unique needs of children with SEND.

Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support to a child with ASC and ADHD.
- Assist the child in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
- Implement individualized learning plans tailored to the child's specific needs.
- Monitor and report on the child's progress to the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and teachers.
- Support the child in developing social skills and positively managing their behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working with children with ASC and ADHD.
- Knowledge of SEND strategies and interventions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the child's development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in SEND education or child development are desirable but not essential.
