We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Pharmacist to join our team in the Cowal and Bute locality. This role will involve working with various healthcare professionals across primary and secondary care to support and improve patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe and effective clinical pharmacy service, ensuring high-quality, safe, evidence-based, rational, legal, and cost-effective prescribing and medicines management in line with current legislation, local, and national guidelines.
  • Work as a key member of GP practice and other multidisciplinary teams, supporting the delivery of strategic and operational prescribing priorities.
  • Provide education, advice, and support to multidisciplinary teams on medicine and prescribing-related topics.
  • Undertake teaching, supervision of foundation training year (pre-reg) pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy support workers, and students.

Requirements

  • Full training will be provided, and further development opportunities within the team will be available over time.
  • The post will involve traveling to various locations, so a full, current driving license and use of own car for work purposes are essential.
