Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior NDT Specialist for a contract role, supporting our esteemed client who is at the forefront of developing innovative technologies that ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable solutions for the Aerospace sector.


Key Responsibilities
As a Senior NDT Specialist (Controlling, Level 3), you will be instrumental in verifying the structural integrity and dependability of aerospace components through comprehensive non-destructive testing methodologies. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting and supervising x-ray, dye penetrant, and ultrasonic examinations on aerospace components.
  • Formulating and endorsing NDT protocols and techniques for a variety of materials, including advanced alloys such as titanium and Inconel.
  • Providing training, mentorship, and certification for Level 1 and Level 2 NDT technicians.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality assurance standards.
  • Maintaining precise and thorough documentation of inspections and testing outcomes.
  • Collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to address challenges and enhance processes.
  • Conducting audits and evaluations of NDT procedures and equipment.
  • Staying updated with industry trends and advancements in NDT technology.


Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Certification as a Level 3 in x-ray, dye penetrant, and ultrasonic testing (ASNT, NAS 410, or equivalent).
  • Extensive knowledge of NDT techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and computer applications.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline is preferred.


Please be aware that due to recent regulatory changes, our client exclusively engages contractors who operate through a PAYE or Umbrella model.
