Our client, a leading Consultancy in the Nuclear industry, is currently looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector to become a part of their team.

In this role, you will be integral to the Quality team, ensuring that all Mechanical, Electrical, and associated work is meticulously evaluated and supported.

Your duties will include assisting various contractors in achieving their objectives for complex installations of cabling and piping systems.

This position requires SC Clearance, which you should either already have or be eligible to obtain.

If you are not familiar with SC clearance or have questions about eligibility, please consult the relevant government resources for further details (This is not a DBS).

This is a full-time position featuring a 4-day work week every other week. The work will be conducted on-site. For those with a commute exceeding 2 hours, a secondment allowance for accommodation is available.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, to perform daily inspections.
  • Conduct inspections according to the Inspection and Test Plan.
  • Verify that all equipment installations adhere to regulations, match the provided drawings, and utilize suitable materials.
  • Oversee LTQRs and authorize work upon completion.
Essential Experience and Qualifications:
  • Experienced Mechanical Quality Assurance Inspector.
  • Background in highly regulated industries such as Nuclear, Defence, or Oil & Gas.
  • Knowledge of rotational equipment.
  • Familiarity with API1658 (Desirable).
  • Engineering degree or mechanical engineering apprenticeship (Desirable).
