Plant Engineer

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Plant Engineer to work within our workshops and on customer sites. The successful candidate will have a strong background in plant fitting and heavy plant/machinery maintenance. The role involves traveling around the country to repair and refurbish excavator buckets and attachments, as well as customer machines. The ideal candidate will have excellent welding skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on heavy plant and machinery
  • Inspecting and testing equipment to ensure it is in good working order
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults on excavator buckets and attachments
  • Working with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions
  • Project managing small improvement projects to increase efficiency and reduce costs


Requirements:

  • Strong background in plant fitting and heavy plant/machinery maintenance
  • Excellent welding skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy and ability to use software to manage projects and track progress
