About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Hays Accounts and Finance. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in preparing and reviewing management and statutory accounts, as well as assisting juniors with their work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review management and statutory accounts
  • Assist juniors with their work, including completing VAT returns and bookkeeping
  • Review and complete the work of juniors
  • Liaise with partners and seniors daily
  • Have exposure to audit work, reporting into the partner, assisting on audit files, and offering advice and guidance
Requirements
  • Previous experience working for an accountancy practice for a minimum of 3 years
  • ACCA or ACA qualified, or a finalist in your qualifications or qualified by experience
  • Experience and competence in utilising accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or Quickbooks
  • Desirable experience leading a team, training juniors, or reviewing work, as well as prior experience on an audit
