Consultant Anaesthetist Position

We are seeking two Whole Time Equivalent Consultant Anaesthetists to join our team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a comprehensive range of clinical services, while also being part of a vibrant and supportive department.
Aberdeen offers a unique blend of urban and rural living, with easy access to beautiful countryside and coastline. Our Anaesthetic department is renowned for its research activity, teaching, and training programs, providing a stimulating environment for professional growth.
The posts offer a range of clinical and non-clinical activities, with on-call duties approximately 1:8 on a non-resident basis. We welcome applications from candidates seeking part-time or flexible working arrangements, including annualised job plans and job sharing.
To be eligible, applicants must hold full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC, with evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register. Alternatively, applicants should possess a CESR / CESR (CP).
Applications from doctors with specialist training and experience who are not listed on the GMC Specialist Register can be considered for a Locum Consultant post. While in locum employment, an application to obtain a CESR / CESR (CP) and entry onto the Specialist Register can be made.
