We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Safety and Reliability Expert to join our Defence team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety and reliability strategies for complex defence systems.
Key Responsibilities- Influence technical aspects of defence systems from concept to delivery, ensuring compliance with safety and reliability standards.
- Balance time and cost constraints to construct a convincing safety and reliability case for customer satisfaction.
- Optimise safety assurance efforts, balancing them against the lethal attributes of complex defence systems.
- Ensure progressive reliability assurance and manage an effective reliability programme.
- Develop a deep understanding of the system and its operating context, identifying potential risks and mitigating factors.
- Collaborate closely with military partners and internal stakeholders to deliver high-standard safety and reliability engineering.
- Engage in a variety of project work, including international assignments, to develop and implement safety and reliability strategies.
- Experience in systems design and systems engineering, with a focus on defence and security-related technologies.
- Proficiency in safety and reliability engineering, with a strong understanding of defence and security-related standards and regulations.
- Ability to balance safety assurance efforts with required system attributes, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
- Experience in developing and managing reliability programmes, with a focus on progressive reliability assurance.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work closely with military partners and internal stakeholders.
