Job Role
Prospero Teaching is currently in search of a Qualified Religious Education Instructor to teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. The responsibilities include:
  • Delivering and planning lessons to meet GCSE standards.
  • Working full-time, Monday through Friday.

Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) status.
  • Experience teaching Religious Education at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 levels.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills and effective behavior management techniques.

Contract Details
  • Position: Qualified Religious Education Instructor
  • Duration: Long-term, ongoing
  • Contract Type: Temporary
  • Working Hours: 8:20 AM - 4:00 PM (term time only)

Essential Qualifications
It is crucial that candidates have:
  • QTS and relevant experience in teaching Religious Education within a school environment, whether in a permanent or supply role.
  • Current Safeguarding training; candidates can complete a free course through Prospero Teaching if they have not undertaken a Safeguarding course in the past year.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for any teaching position with Prospero Teaching, candidates must:
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be prepared to apply for a new one.
  • Provide two professional references related to child care.
