Babcock International Group is a leading provider of complex engineering services, and we're seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter to join our team at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

The Role

As an Electrical Fitter, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the serviceability of our warships, submarines, estates, factories, and cranes department through detailed maintenance and refit periods. You'll work within multi-trade teams on exciting engineering projects, utilizing your skills to:

  • Work on a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment, including distribution, command, and control systems, such as weapons, navigation, and communications.
  • Work to engineering drawings and technical specifications, overhaul existing equipment, install new equipment, and perform system and equipment functional tests and surveys.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Time served apprentice within the field of marine electrical engineering or naval engineering environment.
  • Indentured Apprenticeship in an Electrical discipline.
  • Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship in an Electrical discipline.
  • Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
