About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Stroke Clinical Nurse Manager to join our team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in the management of our stroke unit and the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the nursing team to manage the stroke unit and take responsibility for patient care and management.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and support to junior nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence in stroke nursing.
  • Develop and implement effective plans of care for patients, based on current research and best practice.
  • Assume responsibility for the development of junior staff, supporting and mentoring them to achieve their full potential.
  • Promote health education and awareness among patients, relatives, and staff, referring to other specialists as needed.
  • Ensure a high level of knowledge and expertise in clinical equipment, teaching and supporting staff in their use.
  • Maintain knowledge of emergency and untoward clinical incidents, responding effectively in line with trust policies.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of clinical and environmental care, impacting patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications in line with trust policy, ensuring safe custody and control.
