About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Caretaker to join our team at Sanctuary Group. As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep of our properties, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular health and safety checks and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and take corrective action
  • Perform general caretaking duties, including basic repairs, cleaning, landscaping, and grounds maintenance
  • Manage and maintain an adequate supply of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order
  • Keep accurate records of daily work and provide timely updates to management
  • Identify potential maintenance issues and report them promptly to ensure a safe environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar caretaking or maintenance role is essential
  • Ability to identify and/or carry out minor repairs
  • Understanding of basic health and safety in the workplace
  • Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery is desirable
  • Strong communication and organisational skills are key to this role
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
