Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist to become a vital part of our team in either Dorsten (Germany) or Moerdijk (NL). This role entails scrutinizing financial data and generating management reports to support both internal and external reporting as well as strategic decision-making. The analysis will encompass various financial elements such as inventory, costs, revenue, cash flow, profitability, operational performance, and budgeting. Responsibilities will include cost accounting, budgeting, strategic business scenario modeling, and evaluating both qualitative and quantitative data to measure financial and operational performance against established KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct reporting, analysis, and communication of financial and operational metrics to facilitate decision-making and strategic planning while ensuring data integrity.
- Perform cost control and analysis, monitoring and managing costs related to projects, including Mobilisation/Demobilisation, Service Materials, and other indirect project costs.
- Assist in the budgeting process, tax assessments, and forecasting activities.
- Develop and distribute business performance dashboard metrics, along with month-end and year-end financial reports.
- Prepare month-end management reports, including profit and loss statements and forecasts.
- Review site expenditures and identify any control issues for the internal controls team.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls across relevant operational departments.
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts across multiple departments.
Candidate Profile:
- Professional qualifications in accounting (ICAS, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Fluency or professional proficiency in German is required.
- Experience in management reporting, including month-end profit and loss statements and forecasting.
- Strong technical accounting background.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent reporting skills and proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
