Job Title: Advanced Clinical Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering patient care to the Surgical Services department, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the safe use of medications and provide patient-centred medicines optimisation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop areas for pharmacy services in the Surgical Day Case Unit
  • Lead the provision of patient-centred medicines optimisation in the unit
  • Work closely with the clinical team to ensure the safe use of medications in hospital and on discharge
  • Contribute to the development of pharmacy services in the Trust
Requirements:
  • Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent qualification
  • Independent prescribing qualification (band 7)
  • Recent broad clinical pharmacy experience and knowledge
  • Commitment to professional updating and formal continuous professional development (CPD)
