About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our culinary team as a Chef de Partie at The Hawthorns Retirement. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality culinary service to our residents.

Your primary focus will be to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading a culinary team that delivers a nutritionally balanced and comprehensive dining experience. This will involve preparing and serving meals to a high standard, as well as supporting cost-effective stock control systems to minimize waste.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss and agree catering functions and address special needs or dietary requirements.
  • Working closely with the Head Chef to develop and review menus on a regular basis.
  • Supporting the team in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a catering qualification, such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ, and hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. You will also need to have a minimum of 1-year catering experience and demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality culinary services.
