Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Filtronic. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production targets, output, and quality are met in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy production resources effectively to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure all operations are performed within company procedures and standards, maintaining a safe and clean production environment.
  • Monitor production processes and resources to achieve production targets, highlighting any issues to the Production Manager.
  • Liaise with support functions to resolve production planning and resource allocation issues.
  • Drive team performance, providing direction and constructive feedback to achieve good performance.
  • Motivate the team to create a high-performance culture, embracing improvement suggestions.
  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly plans, identifying and addressing risks.
  • Compile the weekly Kitting Plan and ensure non-conformances are challenged and addressed.
  • Manage first-line absence issues and support New Product Introductions.
  • Closing Production Work Orders and ensuring component over-issues are returned to Stores.
  • Recruit and train new production operators and provide action on Corrective Action Reports.
  • Conduct annual appraisals and manage ongoing performance with manufacturing staff.
  • Monitor adherence to working time regulations and maintain high housekeeping standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years supervisory experience in a microelectronics, clean room manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a quality environment, preferably to ISO standards.
  • Health and Safety awareness and ability to work to quality standards and specifications.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, utilizing interpersonal styles and setting objectives.
  • Computer literacy and understanding of statistical processes.
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and self-motivation.
  • Able to monitor data and identify problem areas, setting and managing WIP-related targets.
