Housing Solicitor

We are seeking an experienced and driven solicitor to join our specialist housing law team at WTB Solicitors LLP. As a Housing Solicitor, you will have the opportunity to handle a diverse caseload, providing expert advice on housing matters to tenants, while working alongside senior and junior colleagues.

• Manage a caseload of varying complexity related to housing law
• Provide expert legal advice on matters such as eviction, possession, homelessness, succession, and anti-social behaviour
• Offer compassionate and sympathetic client care to meet clients' individual needs
• Ensure compliance with Legal Aid Agency standards, including SQM and Peer Review Criteria
• Handle a large volume of cases efficiently
• Collaborate with senior and junior colleagues to deliver the best outcomes
• Advocate strongly in court and in other settings for your clients

We are seeking a solicitor with a strong commitment to legal aid and a desire to help those facing housing challenges. You will also have:

• Passion for legal aid and supporting vulnerable individuals, including those with mental health issues
• Excellent client care skills and a sympathetic understanding of client needs
• Ability to independently manage a caseload of varying complexity
• Strong knowledge of housing law, including eviction, possession, and homelessness issues
• Excellent advocacy, organisational, and IT skills
• Ability to meet the rigorous standards required by the Legal Aid Agency
