About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health Promotion Advisor to join our team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Maternity Tobacco Dependency Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized smoking cessation support to women and families in a flexible and innovative way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver intermediate smoking cessation support to pregnant women and their families, using evidence-based interventions such as CO monitoring and Nicotine Replacement Therapy.
  • Work closely with local stop smoking services, midwives, and obstetricians to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in educating pregnant clients and staff about the benefits of quitting smoking, and provide support to those wanting to quit.
  • Engage with the Smokefree Pregnancy Incentive Scheme, maintaining accurate records and submitting reports as required.
  • Collaborate with the Public Health team to ensure alignment with wider strategy and goals.
