About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions, and implementing new accounting processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process daily bank reconciliations and allocate purchase ledger invoices to nominal accounts
  • Ensure correct coding is consistent and oversee the credit control, reviewing credit limits and approving credit checks
  • Work closely with the FC and FD in closing the management accounts, focusing on payroll journals, fixed assets, accruals/prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Regular liaison with colleagues to ensure consistency in working procedures and resolve any problems promptly

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in transactional processing and month-end accounts, with experience in implementing, reviewing, and amending procedures to ensure efficiencies in work practices.
