We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head Groundsperson to join our grounds team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality grounds maintenance services across our multi-site facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Liaise with sports teams to ensure surfaces and pitches are prepared and inspected for fixtures and games sessions.
- Supervise a team of 3 to ensure day-to-day preparation and maintenance of sports pitches and grounds.
- Monitor the results of grounds maintenance services and suggest improvements.
- Promote safe working practices within the grounds team.
- Deputise for the Head Groundsperson in their absence.
- NVQ 2 or equivalent in sports turf or a related field.
- Full and clean driving licence.
- Experience in using grounds maintenance machinery and equipment.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Health and Safety.
- Good communication skills.
